  • A med spa, and the start of a brand.

Some projects are a space. This one was a beginning. Studio MAK's client had spent years in the aesthetics industry, building her craft inside other people's businesses. Now she was opening her own, and what she needed from the design was bigger than a good-looking room. She needed the place where her brand would begin.

We came in before the brand even had a face, which meant the identity and the interior could grow from the same root. The direction she wanted was specific and a little contradictory in the best way: calming but memorable, moody but clean, luxurious without ever announcing it. The kind of room that lowers your shoulders the moment you step inside.

Underneath that calm, the space had real demands to meet. It needed to move high-end clients through daily appointments with ease, then shift to host training sessions and seminars when the schedule called for it. We planned every zone around both lives the studio would lead, from the first impression at the door through the treatment rooms and into the spaces where she would one day teach.

What opened is serene, elevated, and quietly dramatic, a room that does its work without raising its voice. More than that, it gave a new business owner somewhere to begin, on her own terms and entirely her own.
